It has been said, it's not where you go (or how much you spend) on entertainment ... it's who you're with that counts. Got a quick story that illustrates that very thing ...
Took my girlfriend to the zoo a few weeks ago. Beautiful, cool, sunny day. Got in for half-price with a coupon. Add a snack and a trip to the gift shop, and I STILL don't think we cracked $60 for the day.
On the drive home, we started joking about what a silly "date" that was, but agreed we both had a blast. Conversation turned to memories we both had of dinners at expensive restaurants, pricey tickets to professional sporting events ... even trips to "fancy" resorts. All with the "wrong" people.
While our trip to the zoo was silly, and (relatively) inexpensive, it was fun ... because of who we were with.
Now, I know that sounds "cheesy", but that doesn't mean it ain't so!!!
Find something silly to do ... grab the one you love ... and go do it. You'll be smiling the whole drive home.
Even elephant poop smells sweet when you're with the one you love!!!
