New Parents

I've said it before and I'll say it again ...
The decsion to get the puppy is NOT made at the pet store ... it is made in the driveway before you leave the house for the pet store.  Start the car, and you're getting a puppy ... guaranteed!

So we got a puppy.

Now, I'm not saying it's a bad thing ... here's the deal ...

My girlfriend and I have had the "kids" discussion, several times, in the past year. 
I am against. 
She's 50/50. 
That makes the score 1 and 1/2 to 1/2 "against".

Now, I know there are lots of folks who have kids at 50.  I just don't think I can be one of them.
However, as my girlfriend is 25, things look a little different to her. 

I understand.  I respect her views and feelings.  I mean that.
But I still don't think I can be that guy.

We, admittedly, got the puppy as sort of a test.  We'll see how we do as puppy "parents". 
This will either demonstrate to my girl that she does not want kids ... or it will make her want them even MORE.  I'd say it's 50/50 which way it'll go.  Same as her position on the matter, now.

Anyway, the pup is adorable ... I'm not gonna lie.  Sammy.  Girl.  Boston Terrier.
